Neil Diamond Radio

Neil Diamond fans who missed the singer's "pop-up" concert Monday are getting more chances to see him in concert.  The singer-songwriter has announced the first 30 dates to his 2015 world tour.  He's slated to kick off the trek in Allentown, Pennsylvania on February 27th.

Over the following three months Diamond will play shows throughout the U.S. and Canada, bringing the run to a close in Denver on May 31st.  Neil is hitting the road behind his new album, Melody Road, which will be released October 21st.

To promote his upcoming disc Neil played a special, free concert at his former high school in Brooklyn, New York.  And WABC-TV says he did a little reminiscing during his performance.  He told the crowd Erasmus Hall was where he studied piano and served detention a time or two.  He also called it a "meaningful place," adding that he "learned so much" and his "life changed here."

While Diamond was reportedly only supposed to play five or six songs, he delivered a much longer set that included his classic "Solitary Man" and The Monkees hit he penned, "I'm A Believer."  The concert also marked Diamond's first-ever performance in his hometown.  The show was taped for an upcoming documentary.
