Guns Sales Rise As Fear That Obama Will Change Gun Laws Persists

President Obama is analyzing recommendations for possible executive actions on gun purchases.  White House spokesman Josh Earnest said there are things that can be done to promote gun safety without violating constitutional protections on gun ownership. 

He cited expanded background checks.  President Obama often criticizes Congress for inaction on gun control.  Earnest said the U.S. is "awash in guns."  The debate over guns has heated up again after the deadly mass shooting in San Bernardino.
