A fraternity at Virginia's Old Dominion University is suspended because of sexually suggestive banners put up to "welcome" young women to the campus.
University and national officials of Sigma Nu fraternity say the Norfolk school's chapter will be suspended while the university investigates the incident. Sigma Nu's national executive director says the banners were displayed at a private, off-campus frat house. Among the more repeatable messages on bed sheets hung outside the frat house were "Freshman daughter drop-off" and "Go ahead and drop off mom too." They were put up Friday as new students arrived on campus.
