One Direction is returning stateside to kick off another promotional tour for its upcoming album Four. The Hollywood Reporter says the British boy band has signed a deal with NBC Universal for a handful of appearances across its entertainment networks.
In addition to November performances on shows like the "Today" show, "Access Hollywood" Telemundo's "Un Nuevo Dia" and "E! News," the group has also booked its first-ever U.S. holiday special.
"One Direction: The TV Special" will air December 23rd on NBC.
The group's fourth studio album arrives on Monday. In order to reach number one on the album charts, One Direction will have to out-sell Lorde's Hunger Games soundtrack as well as Taylor Swift's chart-topper 1989.
