High officials in the Chicago-area are apologizing for a skit over the weekend that depicted a mock slave auction. The event happened at the Illinois Junior Classical Convention held in Itasca.

Parents from Chicago's mostly black Kenwood Academy say their students were in attendance and were deeply offended by the skit put on by Barrington High School. Barrington school leaders posted on their Facebook page that they "are reviewing the incident with students and staff who were involved."
