GOP Speaker of the House Paul Ryan isn’t wasting any time. Ryan says a bill to repeal Obamacare will be approved by the House and placed on President’s Obama’s desk by early next year. The President is certain to veto any measure that would repeal his signature legislative accomplishment, and it’s unlikely Republicans have enough votes in Congress to muster an override of the veto.

Meanwhile, Ryan also said that the GOP will unveil a new healthcare plan as an alternative to Obamacare next year, but specific details of the plan are still being worked out.

The Affordable Care Act (or Obamacare as it’s become known) has already survived two major U.S. Supreme Court challenges.
