Rihanna is taking on a new role in the fashion industry. Women's Wear Daily confirmed on Tuesday that the pop star has been named the new creative director of Puma. The paper says RiRi has come on board to oversee the women's collection for the sports company.
Earlier this week, the star was flown out to the brand's headquarters in Germany to have her first meeting with the design team under her. The collaboration with Puma is being described as a "multi-year partnership" that will include customized clothing and shoes from the singer.
Rihanna has made her new Puma title official with an Instagram post sporting a pair of white Puma sneakers. In the past, the star has designed collections for British fashion label River Island, and has also been the face of brands like Gucci and Balmain.
