Soundgarden Radio

After mysteriously unveiling the new song "Storm" earlier this week, Soundgarden is now explaining where it comes from. It's one of seven previously unreleased tracks included on the band's just-announced, three-disc rarities collection, Echo of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across the Path.

The project has been in the works for more than 20 years, and Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil says it's been "fun to collect and compile over the decades."

Echo of Miles' first disc features "Storm" and the other re-recorded songs, plus many of the band's soundtrack contributions, B-sides, and other original rarities. Disc Two has some of Soundgarden's best cover songs, and Disc Three collects instrumentals, remixes, demos, and a few so-called "Oddities."

Echo of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across the Path is due out November 24th.
