The "Game of Thrones" Season 5 Finale left many fans in a state of shock and severely upset (we should know, we went through an entire box of tissues #sorrynotsorry). Well if you didn't see the season finale yet, we have to warn you, there are MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD -- so proceed with caution/read at your own risk! If you don't want to know what happens, then STOP reading right here, right now.
There were quite a few deaths during the Season 5 "GoT" finale. Stannis Baratheon was axed by Brienne of Tarth, who avenged the death of Renly Baratheon. Young Myrcella Baratheon was also doomed in the episode, poisoned by a farewell kiss from Ellaria Sand.
Meanwhile Arya Stark has been left blind by the Many-Faced God, while her sister Sansa jumped from a tower with Theon Greyjoy (AKA Reek) in an effort to escape Ramsay Bolton.
But the most heart-breaking moment came at the very end of the show. Jon Snow was brutally murdered after being ambushed by renegade members of the Night's Watch and stabbed to death. And as you can expect, fans were NOT happy.
Kit Harrington tells Entertainment Weekly that he knew ahead of time what was going to happen, and although Snow's stabbing in the book is left open-ended (meaning, he may or may not be really dead) Kit had to say this about his death on the show:
"This is my understanding of it. I had a sit-down with Dan and David, we did the Tony Soprano walk [letting an actor know they’re being whacked]. And they said, 'Look, you’re gone, it’s done.' And as far as the salary thing goes, that angered me when that story came out. I don’t know where it came from, but it was inaccurate in many ways. It’s going to put questions into your head and into fans’ heads that things are not what they are. Quite honestly, I have never been told the future of things in this show, but this is the one time I have. They sat me down and said, 'This is how it is.' If anything in the future is not like that, then I don’t know about it – it’s only in David and Dan and George’s heads. But I’ve been told I’m dead. I’m dead. I’m not coming back next season. So that’s all I can tell you, really."
But some fans are still hopeful that Snow will somehow be magically brought back to life (we're crossing our fingers too, TBH).
However, most fans were just a mix of sad, angry, and stunned. And even though we are still in mourning of Jon Snow, some of the fans' reactions are pretty hilarious. Check out the best reactions below.
