The Who Radio

The Who has a new song on the way.  The group recently recorded "Be Lucky" for their upcoming retrospective collection The Who Hits 50! It's the first new tune from the band in eight years, following the 2006 album Endless Wire.

Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey recently recorded the song with drummer Zak Starkey, bassist Pino Palladino, and keyboardist Mick Talbot.  And the band is using the track to help others.  The Who's royalties from "Be Lucky" will go to their Teen Cancer America charity.

The Who Hits 50! celebrates the 50th anniversary of the group, and features a mix of classics and lesser-known material spanning their lengthy career.  The set will be released on October 27th.  A month later The Who will launch their 50th anniversary tour in Ireland.
