Ariana Grande did impressions of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Celine Dion on the “Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday during a recurring segment called “Wheel of Musical Impressions.” She also announced the name and release date of the first single off her upcoming album.
In the bit, Grande and Fallon had to sing random songs in the voices of different singers whose names popped up on screen. Grande went first and nailed her impression of Britney Spears singing the children’s song “Mary Had A Little Lamb.” Next, Fallon belted out “Cheerleader” as Aaron Neville, with all that singer’s high octaves and flourishes.
For Grande’s second song, she perfectly impersonated Christina Aguilera with a bursting performance of “The Wheels On The Bus.” Fallon’s second impression was of Sting singing The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face.” Grande’s last impression was of Celine Dion. She also was tasked with singing “Can’t Feel My Face” as the Canadian singer. At one point, Grande and Fallon duetted on the song as Dion and Sting.
Earlier in the show, Grande announced that she’s releasing her first single from her upcoming album on October 30. She said the song is called “Focus.” As Gossip Cop reported, past stars to play “Wheel of Impressions” include Jamie Foxx, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, and Kevin Spacey.
