Carrie Underwood‘s world is on fire these days. Upon the release of her Greatest Hits: Decade #1 collection, the two-disc set arrived on the Billboard 200 at No. 5 with 103,000 units; of that, 94,000 were pure albums sales. It also bowed at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums. To commemorate her decade-long career, the Grand Ole Opry has finally released the long-awaited “Wine After Whiskey” performance from earlier this year. The blistering track is lifted from 2012′s Blown Away album, which spawned four No. 1 hits: the title track, “Good Girl,” “Two Black Cadillacs” and the powerfully uplifting “See You Again.”

“Wine After Whiskey” (co-written by Underwood, Tom Shapiro and Dave Berg) sits deep in the album’s lineup but has always been a standout. Underwood’s gripping, sorrowful portrayal of a woman looking back at a former flame is one of her finest interpretations to-date. “This next one we’re gonna do is a actually fan favorite,” Underwood says in the clip (below). “Anytime there’s any kind of requesting from people or members of the fan club, they always request this song. We thought we’d oblige.”
