Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens hits theaters this Friday, and in honor of the film’s release, Vanity Fair asked a slew of celebrities to name their favorite Star Wars character.
Han Solo got the most love among the celebrities, with Adrien Brody, Brie Larsen, Elizabeth Moss, and Sarah Silverman all declaring Harrison Ford’s character as their favorite. Helen Mirren took a less conventional approach by naming Jabba the Hutt, while Ellen Page said she loved the Ewoks because “they’re so cute.”
Chewbacca is also a highly popular character, among the celebrities polled. Josh Brolin praised the Wookiee because, “He doesn’t say a lot. I understand that character because he makes noises and I make noises when I want to communicate.” Liam Hemsworth even admitted that he “did his call on the red carpet recently and it was the worst mistake of my life.”
Sandra Bullock is a fan of the Mos Eisley cantina, while Jessica Chastain preferred Princess Leia. Kate Winslet noted she adored Darth Vader. And Salma Hayek spoke out in favor of Yoda.
But not every celebrity is a Star Wars fan. “This is really embarrassing. I’ve never watched Star Wars before,” said Emily Blunt. “I am now deported!”
