The Grateful Dead's Bob Weir and Phil Lesh are showing support for their hometown team.  The rockers joined the San Francisco Giants' third base coach Tim Flannery in singing the national anthem at the start of the Giants' National League playoff game Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals.  They've also posted rehearsal footage shot backstage at AT&T Park on Weir's TRI Studios Facebook page.

The performance marked Weir's first public appearance since mid-August, when he suddenly canceled a month's worth of shows with his band RatDog and a planned January event in Jamaica without explanation.  He simply cited unspecified "circumstances," which sparked concerns for his health.
