Gwen Stefani made history during the 58th annual Grammy Awards on Monday night (February 15) when the pop star became the very first person to film a music video on live TV.
Over an hour into the ceremony, the No Doubt front woman took over television screens during a four minute commercial break to create a music video for her new single, "Make Me Like You." In the video, Gwen makes her way from flashy set to flashy set as she's accompanied by lots of dancers and extras. It's a spunky clip, which sort of unfolds like a flash mob with loads of props from its Target sponsorship. She even pokes fun at all the tabloid headlines surrounding her love life.
And no, Gwen didn't take a spill during the roller-skating scene. It was actually a body double, who distracted us, so that Gwen could make her way to the explosive final shot.
"It's such a crazy thing too to have a record that's coming out in real time because I wrote this record not too long ago," Gwen told Todrick Hall during a recent interview. "Make Me Like You" will be featured on the singer's new album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, which is due on March 18 and currently available for pre-order.
