Hollywood is tackling the NFL's concussion issue. Sony Pictures released its trailer for "Concussion," a film starring Will Smith about the man who began warning the league of the dangers of head trauma.
Smith plays Bennet Omalu, who is a Pittsburgh forensic pathologist who first discovered a neurodegenerative disease called chronic traumatic encephalopathy. C.T.E. is the result of repeated brain trauma over time and causes depression, dementia, and other behavioral changes. The disease has been found in numerous deceased football players. "Concussion" is due out in theaters Christmas Day.
