As Gossip Cop reported, Bieber was on hand for a highly-anticipated Toyota Concert Series performance at Rockefeller Plaza. But in addition to performing his new single “What Do You Mean?” and more songs, he also popped into the studio for an interview. Standing informally as he fielded questions from the co-hosts, Bieber admitted to doing some “soul-searching” over the last year.
“It just feels so great to feel the acceptance. And it’s not that that’s where I get my validation, but it shows that they’re for me and not against me,” he confessed. “You always go in situations, especially me now, it’s like I just feel judged. It’s hard. But I’m feeling more confident.”
After revealing it took two and a half hours to get his new hair color, Bieber was also asked about whether he’d be interested in performing at the Super Bowl, and he acknowledged, “I’d be into it.” And what if Taylor Swift was his co-headliner? “I think that would be great,” he replied.
Bieber spent the last few days teasing his “Today” appearance, even writing to fans on Instagram on Wednesday night, “Come find me.” He further tweeted, “Who is coming tomorrow for the free show in Nyc!?” Not surprisingly, thousands showed up, some of whom had camped out overnight, despite wet weather.
