Kelly Clarkson covered “Shake It Off” at a concert this weekend, and Taylor Swift loved it. The superstar even tweeted the performance video for everyone to see.

“Watching Kelly Clarkson SLAY ‘Shake It Off’ is an excellent way to celebrate 26 HOURS TIL 1989!!!!!!” Swift wrote on Twitter on Saturday night. Her new album, 1989, will be officially released on Monday.

As Gossip Cop has reported, “Shake It Off” is the album’s lead single. Swift debuted the track in August, at the same time she formally announced the highly-anticipated new record. Since then, “Shake It Off” has become wildly successful, going platinum twice in the United States. It’s also topped the music charts in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Clarkson performed “Shake It Off” during her concert at Shea’s Performing Arts Center in Buffalo. The special, free show was to celebrate the opening of the new Microsoft store at Walden Galleria. As Gossip Cop reported, Clarkson performed at a similar celebratory Microsoft event in Charlotte, North Carolina earlier this month. During that concert, Clarkson won raves for her cover of “Stay With Me” by Sam Smith.

Clarkson said of “Shake It Off,” “This is a church song. This is a soulful song. This is one of my favorite songs out right now.” She went on to perform an incredible new arrangement of the track.
