One Direction performed “Perfect” for the first time on Friday, just hours after the song was released.
As Gossip Cop reported, “Perfect” debuted early Friday as the second single from the group’s upcoming album, Made In The A.M. The anticipation for the track and the excitement following the premiere was high, leading “#ItsPerfectDay” to trend on Twitter in the United States and worldwide. Later, the perfect day was perfectly capped off with One Direction performing the track live for the first time.
During the “On The Road Again” concert at Dublin’s 3Arena, “Perfect” was performed in full. It was no doubt a special moment for Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, since they are among the song’s co-writers. But it was also probably special for Niall Horan, as it was a hometown show for the Ireland native.
One Direction has additional Dublin shows scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, and no doubt every fan will be singing along, at least based on night one. “Ah Dublin… That was absolutely mind blowing… The loudest, craziest show ever,” Horan tweeted afterward.
Of course, Horan was already having a pretty perfect day based on the song’s feedback alone. “The reaction has been amazing all day so far. Thank you,” he wrote on Twitter earlier in the day.
