Fronted by songwriter and full-throated lead singer Annie Caldwell, Annie and the Caldwells -- also known as the Caldwell Singers -- are a family band putting forth an inspiring and distinctly Southern mix of gospel, blues, soul, and funk. Based out of West Point, Mississippi, the group is rooted in the Staples Jr. Singers, with whom Caldwell debuted in the mid-'70s as a teenager.
