Biography
Swedish group Apollyon (not to be confused with Tom G. Warrior's Apollyon Sun), was formed in 1992 by Archdemon Diabolos (drums) and Lord Worros (guitar/bass). Despite their corpse paint, leather spikes and overall satanic demeanor, their melancholy style and slower pace was almost more in tune with doom than black metal. A demo called "Creators of Evil Thoughts" was recorded, but the duo soon fell out and it wasn't until 1994 that a revamped line-up (featuring guitarist Sorgh and bassist Korihor replacing Worros) returned with yet another demo, "Troldeskovens Aander."
