Formed in Los Angeles, California, USA, this folk rock attraction initially comprised Pat Taylor (vocals), John Merrill (guitar), Al Brackett (bass) and Spencer Dryden (b. 7 April 1938, New York City, New York, USA, d. 11 January 2005, Petaluma, California, USA; drums), although Jim Voigt succeeded the latter on his departure for Jefferson Airplane in 1966.
