The initials ASV stand for married couple Alice (Newman) and Scott Vestal. A classically trained singer who has performed on such radio shows as Mountain Stage and A Prairie Home Companion, Newman has also written songs recorded by Tracy Nelson ("Last Chance") and Jamie Hartford ("All Good Now").
