This artist, not to be confused with the downhome banjo player of the same name, emerged from the chaotic New York music scene of the late '80s. He was a member of Machine Gun, an ensemble that named itself after one of the noisiest records of free jazz ever made, which it attempted to outdo to no great consequence, despite Bryant's strapping on of electric drums in the process.
