Atlanta rapper Da Great Ape prefers to tell stories through his music, which he underpins with trap beats.
Raised in East Point (the "poor side of town"), Da Great Ape was initially very interested in pursuing music. However, he got caught up in the life of the streets, where he made money to help support his family. He could not shake his initial love of music, so he built a studio and started making tracks again.
