Pianist David Deveau has toured widely, making appearances in China and Japan as well as the U.S. and Europe. He has also had important careers as an educator and as a festival administrator.
Deveau was born in Concord, Massachusetts, in 1953. His teachers included Russell Sherman, Beveridge Webster, Veronica Jochum, Richard Goode, and Gaby Casadesus. Deveau earned a master's degree from the Juilliard School in New York.
