Djo Dézormo

One of the most unusual of all the contemporary artists of Martinique, Dezormo is best known for being one of the few singers of "angaje" (political/social-commentary) lyrics, always releasing his records at carnival time in order to add some spice to the festivities. From the separatist community of Rivière-Pilote, Dezormo is a political activist in a country not known for activism.
