Eckart Runge

One of his country's best-known chamber musicians, cellist Eckart Runge turned later in life to fusions between classical music and other genres. For three decades, he was the cellist of the Artemis Quartet. Runge is also a prominent educator. His recording career includes many chamber music albums, notably Mozart: 1, 2, 3, 4 - Solo, Duo, Trio, Quartet. Runge was born in Heidelberg, Germany, in 1967.
