Household Names

Household Names called Austin, TX, home. Led by vocalist/guitarist Jason Garcia, the band eventually included bassist Chris Peters, drummer C.J. Barker, and keyboardist Todd Mosier. Household made its official debut in 2000 with the Trouble With Being Nice LP. Co-produced by Lars Göransson of Cardigans fame, the album was a solid slice of big melody power pop, and enjoyed steady buzz both regionally and on the Internet. The Hold on Tight! EP followed in 2004 from area indie Sonic Therapy, and was similarly well-received. ~ Johnny Loftus
