Rapper Jamie Ray was born James Ray Elkins in 1991. He was born and raised in Winter Haven, Florida and began rapping at age 12. In his early twenties he began releasing tracks online, moving away from the sometimes R&B-inflected leanings of his earlier work into increasingly aggressive rap territory.
