Jimmy D. Lane

b. 4 July 1965, Chicago, Illinois, USA. Born into a musical household, Lane was first influenced by his father, guitarist and singer Jimmy Rogers. Friends of his father's whom he came to know and admire included Howlin' Wolf, Albert King, Willie Mabon, Little Walter and Muddy Waters. He began playing his father's guitar at the age of eight, but drifted from music for a while, spending time in the 101st Airborne Division of the US Army.
