Biography
b. 18 July 1947, Blackburn, Lancashire, England. Kay made her UK television debut in 1961 as a gauche 14-year-old in Search For A Star. Pursuing a career in showbusiness she subsequently guested on a number of shows with Des O'Connor and Paul Daniels. In 1980, she received a 14-month run at London's Palace Theatre and was given a pilot series on BBC television titled The Vocal Touch. Her smooth vocal style and bubbly personality eventually led her to receiving her own series for BBC television.
