At the age of 13, Kiko Zambianchi started to play in a protestant church in his hometown. Encouraged to dedicate himself to cultural activities, he participated in amateur festivals and theater plays until he was 15. After that, Zambianchi staged his own shows, forming the rock band Vida de Rua, which he later abandoned in favor of a change of style towards MPB. At 21 he moved to São Paulo, and in less than a month recorded his first single, "Rolam as Pedras."
