Marco Albonetti

Saxophonist Marco Albonetti performs diverse programs that include elements of his classical and jazz training, the tango music in which he has specialized, and other traditions. In 2021, he released the album Romance del Diablo: The Music of Piazzolla. A native of Italy, Albonetti studied at the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro with Enzo Veddovi. A formative experience was hearing Piazzolla's music as it was broadcast on Italian radio after the Argentine tango master's death in 1992.
