Biography

Nozinho was, along with Eduardo das Neves, Mário Pinheiro, Cadete, and Baiano, one of the first professional recording singers of Brazil. He came to Rio with his parents in 1897, soon joining the local Bohemians. He recorded for the first time in 1907, for Casa Figner, choosing the comic lundu "O Padre E O Sacristão."
