Spanish hip-hop act Pechuga Band was formed in July of 1998 by MC Carlos Medina (Señor Punto) and ex-DQ3 MC Ayose Curbelo (aka Curbino), who were soon joined by drummer Caboso Fondo, bassist Chico Sardina, and guitarist Niño Metal. They debuted live at Lanzarote's Festibar in 1999 and, that same year, recorded a demo featuring "Fo Que Peste" and "Estado de Derecho." Drummer Elio Pérez (El Chino) took Caboso Fondo's place soon after, and guitarist Manuel (aka Trufino Almendrado) joined in 2000.
