Averaging ten singles a year for a decade, he and his band, Peppino & His Rockers, scored with such pre-Beatles hits as "Malatia," "Voce 'e Notte," "Luba Caprese," "Vicino 'o Mare," "Parlami D'amore Mariu," and "Speedy Gonzalez."
