Biography
Fed up with epic long songs that include unnecessary drum solos, the Canadian collective of Vic Wayne (guitar/vocals), Steve Monteith (guitar/vocals), Robert Medic (bass), and Rene Lafleur (drums) got together as Star Collector in late 1997. With a more straightforward approach of mod-influenced pop & roll, the band self-released its debut single, Skyscraper & Slowfade, in 1998 before their first full-length, Demo Model 256, came out the following year. Second album Flash-Arrows & the Money Shot was released in 2003, followed by Hundred-Bullet-Proof in 2006. ~ Mike DaRonco
