Biography

The members of Poland's Szymanowski Quartet have been termed ambassadors of Polish music on a Polish classical music site. Yet much of their training took place in Germany, and they have championed contemporary music across a range of cultures, Western as well as Eastern European. Violinists Agata Szymczewska and Robert Kowalski, violist Volodia Mykytka, and cellist Monika Leskovar joined forces in Warsaw in 1995 and have continued to be based there despite several residencies abroad.
