Biography

The Moths were a folk group of students at Hull University in England who recorded an album of material on June 23, 1970, after being unexpectedly offered recording time in the university's theater building. The ten tracks they recorded were dominated by straightforward covers of songs by major and cult folk and folk-rock songwriters of the era, particularly Bert Jansch (four of whose songs were included), but also Bob Dylan, Tim Buckley, Clive Palmer, and David Ackles.
