Turtleneck

After spending many of years wearing out their Sebadoh, Palace, and Pavement records, Ryan Hibbett (vocals/guitar/drum machine) and Jeremy Beiermann (vocals/bass/samples) dusted off their four-track and got together Turtleneck in 1998. By taking the lo-fi approach of writing melodic, poppy hooks to go along with their poetic lyrics, Turtleneck recorded two demos of what they eventually called "a learning experience" before releasing a split EP with Millawake's Afo Zankey Band in 1998.
