Violinist Werner Hink was a longtime concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. He also performed with several other Austrian orchestras and was the founder of two important Viennese chamber music groups. Hink was also an educator who made a strong impact in Japan as well as in Austria. He has a substantial recording catalog stretching back to the LP era and forward into his retirement, when he recorded Bach's complete Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin in 2011.
