Could "The Class" be for you?

Looking for a workout where you’ll feel all the feels? "The Class" could be for you. This trendy fitness class has been called “New York City’s most emotional workout” and with fans like Jennifer Aniston and Naomi Watts, it’s almost impossible to get a spot in one.

"The Class" is a blend of yoga, cardio and strength training “with a focus on spiritual and emotional wellness.” It’s held in a darkened room, there are yoga mats, crystals, candles, and really loud music. And that’s a good thing because while you’re in there sweating it out and trying to achieve a “total body and mind reset,” you’re encouraged to scream and shout.

The Class session is 65 to 75 minutes of calisthenics and plyometrics and at certain points during the workout, the instructor encourages participants to scream at the top of their lungs. But if you’re shaking your head, thinking this isn’t for you, those who’ve tried it assure us that with the music blasting and everyone around you engaged in the cathartic yelling, it’s easier than you think to get out of your head and try it.

Not everyone screams during The Class, and some people cry. So this unique sweat sesh isn’t for everyone. But it is supposed to be a killer workout and leaves you clear headed, if you can handle the emotional side.
