Body Located on East 2nd Street Identified as Chillicothe Teen

Chillicothe Police have released the identity of a male body found Wednesday morning in the 300 block of East Second Street. Police have now identified the deceased as 17-year-old Jason Bartley of Chillicothe. 

Captain Ron Meyers of the Chillicothe Police Department states officers were dispatched to an alley following an 11:09am call to the department, in reference to a body in a yard. Upon arrival, officers located a male subject, deceased, in the yard just off the alleyway.  

Detectives from the Chillicothe Police Department as well as an investigator with the Ross County Coroner’s Office were summoned to the scene.

Bartley's body was transported to the Montgomery County Coroner’s office for autopsy and identification. The investigation continues at this time.
