No matter how much they show support for one another, it seems like folks really want Nicki Minaj and Cardi B to go head-to-head. Even after the release of "MotorSport," their all-star effort with Migos, some questioned whether the former even knew if the budding rap star was on the track until it dropped. Minaj took to Twitter on Tuesday (October 31) to explain just how the team-up arrived.
"I was on the song w/Quavo. No one else was on it. He called & asked if I think we should put Bardi on it, I said 'ok let’s do it'. The end," the 34-year-old clarified for her 21.1 million followers. "Migos weren't even on it yet. Just Quavo. The conspiracy theories r just so tired. Relax. Breathe. Imagine me not knowing who on a song w/me. Anything w/my name on it gets approved by me. It can’t even go on a streaming service w/o me hearing it & giving written approval."
Minaj went on to call out the "men in our culture who simply refuse to let it go," revealing that they don't put male rappers under this kind of pressure. "But yo #Motorsport #1 added on urban radio."
She even went as far as responding to a clip from Bardi's interview with Complex, where the Bronx MC said that she thinks some people would even try and stir the pot between the two if they were caught making out. "Very true. We could make out & it wouldn’t be enough," Nick replied with the laughing emoji. "I'm done."

These are men in our culture who simply refuse to let it go. They don’t do this to male M.C.’s. But yo #Motorsport #1 added on urban radio🙏🏽
