A toy drive is being held in Boynton Beach on Black Friday.
The Boynton Beach Police Department hopes you'll stop by the Walmart on Federal Highway, and bring a new unwrapped toy, for kids being served by the Children's Healing Institute. The non-profit works with families on child abuse prevention and grief counseling for children.
Members of the SWAT team and Police Explorers will be trying to fill a SWAT truck with toys from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. They'll be back at the Walmart during the first two weekends of December: Saturday and Sunday Dec. 2 & 3 and Saturday and Sunday Dec. 9 & 10 also from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
You can also drop off toys at the police department on Boynton Beach Boulevard or one of several businesses around town until Dec. 11:
BB Police Dept. lobby: 100 E. Boynton Beach Blvd.
M&M Appliance, 915 N. Federal Highway
Boynton Diner, 500 E. Woolbright Road
Due South Brewery, 2900 High Ridge Road
