Senator Al Franken says he plans to stay in the U.S. Senate and vows to win back Minnesota's trust.  Franken issued an apology and a pledge yesterday, saying he "feels terribly" that he's made some women feel badly, and that he plans to move ahead in an effort to regain his constituents' trust.

The Democrat has been accused by 4 women, 2 anonymously, of inappropriate contact.  A spokesman said yesterday that the senator has no plans to resign.
