John Mayer Says He Watched Katy Perry Sleep During Her 96-Hour Livestream

John Mayer and Katy Perry are a thing of the past, but that doesn't mean that the former doesn't have any love or interest in his former flame as he revealed during his recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

During his appearance on the Monday night (November 27) episode, Mayer admitted without hesitation that he did indeed watch the pop star's 96-hour livestream in June. Asked what he thought of the whole shebang, it seems like he knows that the promotional vehicle was very much up her alley. "Well, I think you'd have to watch all 96 hours to come up with a final verdict," Mayer said. "That's her thing, man, is to go big and bold. I checked in with it. It's definitely odd to watch your ex-girlfriend asleep."

Mayer went on to explain that he still has an interest in Perry, especially since they were together for so long. "The way I see things now," he said, "I call it, stand in the middle of the boat. If someone says, 'I don't watch that,' it's like, yes you do. It's like if you want to text someone -- you know, I texted Katy 'Happy birthday!' It was four in the morning -- a post-midnight haven't-gone-to-sleep-yet happy birthday send because how weird is it to be like, 'I want to say happy birthday now, but I'm gonna wait until tomorrow afternoon.' Just be a person, man."
