Rich Robinson Says There's a "Deep Connection" Among Former Black Crowes

Former Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson says nothing—not even time—can take away the connection shared by his former bandmates and himself.

Robinson made the comments during an interview for his new band The Magpie Salute, which features former Crowes guitarist Marc Ford and bassist Sven Pipien.

"As you get older you start seeing how everyone plays a role in relationships," Robinson told Q104.3 New York's "Out of the Box" with Jonathan Clarke. "There's no such thing as, like, one guy is just horrible all the time; everyone really plays into it."

Robinson said the intense and unique the band-on-tour environment is hard to replicate in other professions.

"And the only [people] you can find to talk about it," adds Ford, "are the people who were there with you."

Ford continued, "There is a bond that is unexplainable. And in a lot of ways we hardly knew each other with just how much insanity was around us."
