Snow Overnight Could Affect Morning Commute
January 17, 2018
Roads are already being pre-treated and you can expect the usual school delays and cancellations for tomorrow morning. A Winter Weather Advisory has already been issued for areas north of DC and Baltimore, including Frederick, Westminster and northern Baltimore/Harford Counties beginning at 9pm this evening with the anticipation of some light snow.
So when are winter weather advisories issued? Typically you need 2 to 4 inches of snow...but if the snow is expected during a rush hour, the criteria is lowered to 1 inch. pic.twitter.com/KMhdGoTF56

Snow isn't expected in the D.C. Metro until after midnight. Accumulations around the Beltway are anticipated to be around an inch. Snow should completely exit by 9am. pic.twitter.com/bxfbcCH46B
